The sikh
religion was founded over 500 years ago, in
1699 on the Baisakhi day, when Guru Gobind
Singh ji baptised Panj Pyaras at Keshgarh
sahib Takht.Today the sikh religion has a
following of over 20 million people all over
the world. Today sikhs have thousands of
Gurdwaras all over the world and sikhism is
ranked as the 5th largest religion. The Sikh
community celebrated 300 Saal Tricentenary
celebrations of Guru Ta Gadi Diwas on 30th
October, 2008 at Takht Sri Hazur sahib, Nanded
alongwith all the Gurdwaras all over the
