Chandigarh,8 July,Dr. Avnish Jolly:The Gurmukhi this is not just a language it is language of God. It has chanted out of mouth of great Gurus of Sikh religion and show the way to common masses according to Pandit Rao.  He is from Karanataka, Indai and born in s Shirashyd Village, in Bijapur District, Indi Taluk.

His father was teacher and died of cancer two years back. He never thought in his life that he would land in the land of Great Gurus, he feels it is grace of God he was selected by Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi as Lecturer in Sociology in Govt college for Girls, Sector 42 Chandigarh.    He feels it is necessary to mention here that in his selection interview the board members asked him that you are south Indian and if you are selected will you able to teach in Hindi. His sudden reaction was “Ye mera aubhagg hoga agar mai selecthogaya to  na  sirf Hindi me padayuinga balki Punajbi me bhi padayunga” (he feels this  will be his fortune if he is selected not only he will  teach in Hindi  but also in Punjabi too).

Finally he joined the job on 22nd December 2003, with a new year a new chapter of his life started and for few months he had problems while   teaching, because students in my class were mostly from outskirts and  surrounding’s villages. They had problem to understand   english and later he realized he must learn Punjabi and teach them in Punjabi. His effort started then and getting up early morning and reading Gurumukhi regularly.  Gradually he developed  such a  interest that he started  reading   Guruwanis within few days   Waheguru and Saraswati blessed him so much that he  started   not only  teaching  in Punajbi  but also  writing poems  in Punjabi.

After  continues   efforts he  have  attain  to the level to  translate  Guruwanis in Kannda  it is his  dream  to share the preaching’s of Guruwanis to masses at all levels. So far he have  published  35  articles in  Punajbi  Tribune,  Desh  Sewak  and  Hans  Sarovar  (  Daily News papers).  He feels  Waheguru gave him strength to  publish  small books also  name is Mai ta mai ha….which  includes few  articles   and  poems.

He is teaching Punjabi language to non Punjabi people in Chandigarh in the evening free of cost in fact he give them scholarship of   two hundred rupees per month. He feels globalization effected allot on common man and they are more interested to learn English. He feels if we want to sustain our culture we must give respect to our native language and it is the duty of every Indian to advocate their cultural values at global level. He is not against English but feels every one must understand ethos of own origin and respect for mother land.

He feels there is urgent need to develop interest among people about importance of our literate   by  saying if  some one  construct  building  it can be  destroyed  in any  movement  by  natural  distastes  even  engineers keep age for it, but if   we  construct  a  good  literature it is  for ever  and  just  because  of good literate  good  society  can created.

To develop   awareness among people once in week he goes for cycle Yatra different villages and districts. He had adopted the method of Ekangi Natak to convey the   thoughts of Waheguru to people, where he plays a street theatre in villages of course in Punjabi language and he wishes to carry on his  work  with the  blessings of Waheguru.
