Profile : Dr Deepika Abrol
Dr Deepika Abrol obtained her Ph. D. in 2004 on DNA amplification fingerprinting in Charophyta and is serving the Department of Biotechnology, Bareilly College, Bareilly since July 2001. She is working on molecular characterization of Charophyta and is teaching Molecular Biotechnology, Recombinant DNA Technology, Cytogenetics, Microbiology and Tissue Culture. She has nearly 07 research papers including review articles in foreign and Indian journals. Three text books are on the floor. Dr Abrol is a Life member of SOCIETY FOR PLANT RESEARCH, She was awarded SPR’ s YOUNG SCIENTIST AWARD – 2004 and is looking as Business Manager of SPR. Dr Abrol attended nearly 20 National and International conferences. She participated actively in organizing three national level conferences on various aspects of Biotechnology at Bareilly College, Bareilly. Dr Abrol attended workshops on Recombinant DNA Technology, Biosensors and Genome Analysis , under faculty improvement programmes.
