Sikhs across Jharkhand took to the streets on Wednesday protesting against state health minister Bhanu Pratap Shahi's "highly provocative" statement against former speaker Inder Singh Namdhari and the        community.                                                                                      

Shahi stirred up a controversy on Tuesday saying he would "send Namdhari packing to Punjab after unknotting his turban." Namdhari had taunted him recently asking hin to know the meaning of VRS         [ voluntary retirement scheme] before raising the demand with the      Chief Minister.                                                                                 

Sikhs have warned of a nationwide agitation if Shahi was not dismissed from the Madhu Koda Cabinet within 72 hours.
